It was also probably the most exciting race of Formula 1 in this season. Driver of Mercedes-McLaren, Lewis Hamilton celebrated in the end and his opportunity to get back into fight for the title missed Kimi Raikkonen after big mistake at the very end of the race. After lots of excitement and turns of events during the whole race, six laps before the end started raining. Two laps before the end Hamilton cut through chicanery and came out in front of Raikkonen. Then he had to let him pass but he right away passed him in the straight part of the track. In the jam which was made by one lagging car Kimi managed to pass Hamilton and when it was thought that he will end the last lap at the head of the line he turned around on the track and in that was enabled Hamilton to pass him. Kimi wanted to get back on the track as soon as possible but he skidded on the wet track and hit cement fence but without any bigger consequences. The first accomplishment made Nick Heidfeld who in the last lap got from the 7th to 3rd position.
