Austria Wien lost heavily to Metalist in Europa League and almost lost their chances of proceeding. Their faith depends on AZ and the Dutch side has to play at home against already-qualified Metalist... At least on domestic things are doing well for Austria - they are leading the table alongside Rapid, Ried and Admira, so the chances for the title are there. With so many quality players coach Daxbacher must take the three points at home to Mattersburg.
After the very poor start of the season Mattersburg really upped their performance and achieved some respectable results. Now the team has a 4-point lead ahead of last-placed Kapfenberg and will try to steal something from Wien. Mattersburg are 1-4-3 away from home with 7:10 goal difference. Patrick Burger is the leading goalscorer of the team with 7 goals.
Austria have to forget about the loss to Metalist and at home to Mattersburg they will have a good opportunity to snatch the three points. The team has scored in every home game in all competitions this season and I think they will do it again here. Nacer Barazite is doing an awesome job, contributing in numbers, and I think he will score the first goal for the hosts in this game.
