Leverkusen pulled off a great victory over Chelsea in the Champions League, but couldn't win in the Bundesliga against Hertha in the following game. Eren Derdiyok had an awesome game, scoring a hattrick, but that wasn't enough for Bayer, who are currently sixth. Omer Toprak, Tranquillo Barnetta and Renato Augusto are injured, while Kiessling will probably start on the bench, as coach Dutt will probably play with 1 striker. Keeper Rene Adler is not ready, but anyway his replacement Leno is doing well so far. Probable starting line-up from Kicker:
Leno - Castro, Reinartz, M. Friedrich, Kadlec - L. Bender, Rolfes - Sam, Ballack, Schürrle - Derdiyok
Hoffenheim are right in the middle of the table, occupying the 9th place. The team is in bad form, not being able to win in the last 4 league games. Hoffe were close to the win in the previous round, but Garra Dembele scored an equalizer for Freiburg in the last minute. Ibertsberger and Jaissle are injured, but more important will be the absence of Roberto Firmino and Chinedu Obasi, who were thrown out of the first team for unprofessional behavior. Probable starting line-up from Kicker:
Starke - Beck, Vorsah, Vestergaard, Compper - Rudy - Williams, Salihovic - Musona, Babel - Ibisevic
I expect a good game, which Leverkusen should win in order to keep in pace with the top. The guests will miss two important players and may struggle to threat Bayer. Eren Derdiyok scored a hattrick against Hertha in the previous round and I will trust him to be first goalscorer for Leverkusen in this game.
