The Penguins won at the Capitals, 2-1, and one low score game is quite enough for this potent team. Tonight, we should see absolutely different picture at the ice, thanks to a fact that the Hurricanes are the second worst home team in the Eastern Conference, with scored 35 and allowed 48 goals in 15 games. They are in very bad series of six defeats, the last five were in regular time. In each of those six games they allowed at least three goals, but also scored at least one. Their goalie, Cam Ward, had bad performance at home this season - GAA 3.17 with a .894 Sv%. He made 37 saves in the last game against the Penguins, almost a month ago, he allowed 3 goals but his teammates were successful and scored five times for 5-3 win. Ward has good outcome against the Penguins - GAA 2.41 with a .921 Sv% in 18 career games.
Brent Johnson was in goal of the Penguins in the last game against the Hurricanes, and had bad performance - GAA 5.08 with a .808 Sv%. His career performance against the Hurricanes is GAA 2.87 with a .916 Sv%. In five away games this season he achieved GAA 2.99 with a .898 Sv%. Fleury is better on the road, GAA 2.35 with a .913 Sv% in 10 games this season, and in 14 career games against the Hurricanes he achieved GAA 2.80 with a .906 Sv%.
From my point of view the Penguins will win tonight, but the win should be with high score on both sides, so I will take this better paid bet.
