This should be tough game between two west conference teams. Colorado Avalanche will host Detroit Red Wings in ninth consecutive match at home. The Avalanche started bad this home strike dropping three games against strong teams, they failed against San Jose 1-4, Vancouver 0-3, Dallas 1-3, but took three of four defeating Oilers 5-2, New Jersey 6-1, St Louis Blues 3-2 OT decider. Colorado has had good success against Detroit in the years before but this season they failed in both games who played with them 0-3 at home, 5-2 at Joe Louis Arena. Another reason choosing away team is that Colorado has poor record at home six win, nine loss. On the other hand the Red Wings are in incredible fit at the moment. It seems that the Red Wings can not be stopped today, with Howard on the net he allowed only four goals in last three games.
