The Avalanche are getting better.
They started season well (Oktober)but later collapsed during November.
They had a miserable Nobvember when they lost many games, conceded many goals and were not playing well.
At the momment they are unbeaten in last 8 home games, moreover they won all of them(some after extended time). They showed a really good hockey with great defence and finally consistency.
Today they will face the Jets that are not playing well outside Winnipeg.
They have problems with winning road games and it should be problem especially today when the Avalanche have second the best home streak of victories this season(Red Wing won last 10 games at home and can win 11th if they beat the Blues tonight).
I think that hosts should win another, 9th consecutive home game, they have great goalie, very good defence and despite some injuries(Wilson, Jones, Kobasew, Mueller,Yip -some of them are less important)they are a favourite in my opinion tonight.
The h2h is not on their side as they did not win last 5 home games vs Jets/Thrashers but they played rarely in the past and they were able to win last game at Jets/ Thrashers.
