The two teams started the league with very different results. If we comeback to the third day of A-League, Perth Glory was the leader with three wins, while the Mariners were with two defeats and a draw. Many things happened since that date. In the day four, the Mariners defeated Perth Glory by 2-1 and they didn't lost since than, getting six wins and one draw, being the leader now. Perth Glory start falling and they got only one win and one draw, loosing all the other games.
Mariners will enter in the field as a clear favourite, in a brilliant form, with five consecutive wins and a row of eight unbeaten games. The last win was very moralizing as they won at the leader Brisbane Roar by 2-1. They conquered the single leadership and they want now to solidify their top position.
Perth Glory has a very poor offensive record, the worst of the competition, and they will face the best defensive record of Mariners. I think the only fact in favour of Perth Glory is the long trip that the Mariners had to to until Perth, but it don't seems to be enough to not believe in a away win here.
