| Phillies managed to get to play off 2nd year in a row. That's pretty good achievement. But there is something wrong with it. They've managed to lose last 15 play off games. That's just terrible. Brew Crew on the other side is playing October baseball for the first time since 1982. Hamels is on the mound for Phillies. He has very good regular season behind him. 33 games, 14 wins and 10 losses with an ERA of 3.09 and WHIP 1.08. In that 33 gaes, he pitched for total of 227.1 innings and allowed 193 hits and 89 runs. At Citizens Bank Park he has 17 games, and a split record of 7 wins and 7 losses. Gallardo is going on the mound for Brew Crew. He's back after knee surgery and recovery. He's one of the Brewers top young pitchers. He played just 4 games in regular season, all were ND. He posts an ERA of 1.88 and WHIP of 1.25. He threw just 24 innings and allowed 22 hits and 5 runs (of which 3 are homers). On the road he posts an ERA of 2.77 and WHIP of 1.31 I'm going for the experience here. Hamels has a lot of it. Phillies are doing grate at home. Their bullpen is a lot better than the Brewers one. In the lineup matchup I also give an edge to Phillies. If you want to place some future bets, I recommend to play on Phillies to win this series. GL |
